Tomorrow, Feb 4 will be my 29th birthday.

I will be one year away from 30! There is so

much God has been teaching me this past year,

and I’d love to share it with you. Maybe it will

spark some inspiration.

I am learning...

1. -that grace is something I can easily extend to others, but not myself.
   

2. -that most of the things I worry about don’t happen to me anyway.
   

3. -creating music and art breathes life into me like nothing else.
   

4. -that telling secrets to trusted friends can be utterly freeing.
   

5. -that life is rich when lived in community with others.
   

6. -to say “no” in order to say “yes” to something else.
   

7. -it is okay to mourn the loss of hopes and dreams.
   

8. -that smile wrinkles are a sign of a joy-filled life.
   

9. -I am a great starter and a terrible finisher.
   

10. -not to take relationships for granted.
    

11. -to accept myself, quirks and all.
    

12. -that perfect is super boring.
    

13. -to be honest and speak up.
    

14. -that God really loves me.
    

And so another year on earth begins. Another year to learn and grow.

May we remember to pause and take stock of each year, month, or day that we are given.  May we pause to thank God for God’s faithfulness, wisdom and love.
